Now we’re talking. The food Belgium is famous for many notexactly be described as ‘healthy’, but it’s certainly tasty.
Belgium is incredibly famous for its chocolate, and while you might not be able to pop into one of Belgium’s many (many) chocolate shops – you can find good Belgian chocolate or some velvety truffles almost anywhere.
If you’re looking for something savoury, then you could give the Belgian national dish a go. Moules is steamed dish of mussels steamed in a rich sauce made from butter, garlic, shallots, white wine and parsley. But you’re not going to mop up the sauce with a French stick, nope. The best thing to have is Belgium frites. Frites are Belgium’s version of fries - twice cooked, fluffy on the inside and extra crunchy on the outside. If you’re having frites on their own, then you’ll want to serve them with heaps of mayonnaise or Sauce Andalouse – a mixture of mayo, ketchup and peppers.
The final thing you can serve up to enjoy the Belgian Grand Prix, if you still have room, is a Belgian waffle. The iconic Belgian waffle can be eaten plain if you wish, but you could top them with cream, strawberries, chocolate sauce, or in fact as many sweet treats as you’re in the mood for.

Besides Hercule Poirot, Jean Claude Van Damme and Kevin De Bruyne, Belgium is arguably most famous for its beer. The Belgians have been brewing beer since 750AD and there are hundreds to choose from..
But if you’re going to do a Grand Prix watch party properly, then we think you need a Red Bull mocktail to wash down your Belgian waffles.
As the weather in Belgium can be a bit wild at times (think back to 2021), we think the Storm is just the drink. To make the Storm, you’ll need 10ml of blackberry syrup, juice of half a lemon, ice, one can of Red Bull and lemon wedges for garnish.

You’ll want some music for when the commentators aren’t chirping away, and as always, we have the tunes for you. Here’s our Belgium-based Bulls Beats.
So that’s everything you need for a fantastic Spa weekend! It’s time for some rest, relaxation and - of course – racing.
