Max Verstappen took his 15th podium finish of the year after finishing second behind Lewis Hamilton at the São Paulo Grand Prix. Valtteri Bottas took the final podium spot as Sergio Pérez finished in fourth place. However, the Mexican driver rescued an extra point on the final lap with a late soft tyre run to claim fastest lap.

Ahead of the São Paulo Grand Prix, we took a lookback at the Mexico City Grand Prix where Max’s win wasn’t the only thing to note from the race weekend.
Adrian Newey took a trip to the podium alongside Max and Checo, due to a very special occasion being marked. While Max lifted his 19th winners’ trophy, alongside him on the podium Adrian collected the Constructors’ trophy. It was a fitting memento to mark the 30th anniversary of his first F1 victory.

What’s the one thing a Formula One team needs to do really, really well? It’s a trick question, of course, because a team needs to do everything really well. If you ask the question, you’ll get plenty of different answers, ranging from car design and manufacturing excellence to trackside performance and data analysis.
The one thing that should probably be at the top of the list, but often gets left off is ‘communication’. This is a team sport, and the team that doesn’t communicate well, doesn’t win. Whatever else it does, the team needs a radio system that operates without any issues
