Nine of his 19 Formula One victories have come this season, which makes it tempting to describe 2021 as his breakout year, but the reality is that Max has long-since been an established star of the sport, the difference this season is that, in the RB16B, he has a car underneath him to make it count.
We spoke to the Dutchman before heading to Abu Dhabi for the all-important title decider to get his views on what has already been a wild ride of a year in Formula One.
