There’s no food quite like Mexican food and it’s loved globally, in fact in the US, 4.5 billion tacos are eaten annually, that around 675,000 tons or the equivalent of 120,000 elephants worth of Tacos!
Anyway, back to the food, Nachos can have many different toppings on them and they make for a great party snack. What makes them shine is the guacamole. While there are plenty of different recipes, we like to keep ot simple by adding some finely chopped red onion to your guac giving it a great crunch.
Jalapeño poppers are another favourite. Stuffed with cream cheese and covered in breadcrumbs, this spicy treat is the definition of ‘moreish’. Quesadillas are another perfect party food, the list of fillings is endless, from leak and bacon to prawn and chorizo, you’ll be able to create quesadillas to suit everyone.
For those of you who always save room for dessert, Mexico’s favourite sweet is arguably the tres leches cake, a very light sponge cake made with three types of milk; whole, evaporated and condensed. And of course, you could always fry up a batch of sweet cinnamon churros.
