Welcome to round six of the 2024 Formula One World Championship and to the amazing city of Miami! You can’t help but feel you’re on holiday when at the Miami International Autodrome in the heart of the Sunshine State. Bright, vibrant colours everywhere under a crisp blue sky – perfect for racing. And no team enjoys being in Miami more than Oracle Red Bull Racing.
That’s because the Team is the only one to win here. In fact, Max Verstappen is the only winner of the Miami Grand Prix. First run in 2022, Max took the win with Checo finishing in P4. Last year it was a one-two, with Max winning and claiming the fastest lap (which is the race lap record of 1:29.708) and Checo taking P2 after starting on pole. With three podiums from two races, it’s no wonder the Team can’t wait to get back on track this weekend.
Talking of the track, the Miami International Autodrome is a purpose-built circuit constructed around the Hard Rock Stadium complex, home of the legendary Miami Dolphins. Fins Up! When being designed the street-style track went through 76 different configurations, with 36 layouts being simulated before they set on the 19-turn track (12 left-handers, seven right). The track itself is 5.412km long with three straights, three DRS zones and a top speed hitting 340kmh.
It's another Sprint Weekend, so the Bulls will be keen to hit the track in the first, and only practice session of the weekend, which will be 12:30 track time (16:30 UTC). Check back here with all the news, images, videos and in-depth analysis of the weekend.
