The F1 Academy is so important to the future of racing as it offers young female racers the chance to compete in an elite motor racing series. There have been other attempts in the past, but this is the first series to get the backing of all 10 Formula One teams, each providing support and supplying a driver from their academies. There has also been a great effort from sponsors and founder of the F1 Academy Susie Wolff to ensure the success of the series.
There are three great drivers who are part of the Red Bull Camp driving in the F1 Academy. Hamda Al Qubaisi is competing for Red Bull Racing Academy Team, her sister Amna Al Qubaisi is driving for Visa Cash App RB Academy Team and Emely De Heus driving for Red Bull Academy Team.
22-year-old Hamda is from the UAE and competing in her second season in the F1 Academy, last year she finished third, claiming four wins in the season. Hamda’s older sister, Amna also competed in the inaugural season of the F1 Academy and won two races in her debut season. Dutch driver Emely De Heus is in her second season of the F1 Academy. She also competed in the 2023 Formula 4 UAE Championship.
These three young drivers are smashing down boundaries and certainly have the REBL spirit that is the essence of Oracle Red Bull Racing.
To honour these trailblazers, the ARTFCT is a New Era F1 Academy cap signed by all three drivers. It’s the first cap made exclusively for women and celebrates not only the F1 Academy, but also the Red Bull Academy Programme. Both of these academies are essential to secure the future of motorsport by growing talent and working with them so they have all the tools they need to be the next generation of world champions.
