There’s no denying the Team is going well at the moment, winning the last five races in a row is something we’ve not done since 2013, but at the Austrian Grand Prix not only did Max take the 15th win of his career, but also his first Formula One Grand Slam!
The Grand Slam of racing is taking pole position, winning the race, claiming the fastest lap, and leading every lap of the race.
Sunday was made even more impressive by Max as he was able to build up such a lead over the 71 laps, that he pitted twice and still came out in front of his rivals!

When we arrived in Formula One in 2005, there were a lot of people that thought the Team were just along for the ride. Playing music loud in the garage, partying hard and some even said: “They’re just a fizzy drinks company.”
Well, over the years the dedication and commitment of the Team has silenced those critics – but the music is still loud – and when Max took the chequered flag at the Red Bull Ring it notched up 70 race wins for the Team. That’s an impressive haul in anyone’s books in over just 17 seasons of racing.

On Sunday Max became the youngest driver in Formula One history to have collected 50 podiums.
At just 23 years and 277 days old Max has added another record to his collection. He is now the youngest driver to get to 50 podiums, eclipsing the record, that was held by Sebastian Vettel, by more than two years.

We’re sure you spotted a few fans trackside during the Austrian Grand Prix, but it was the first race in 12 months that had full capacity. 130,000 fans were at the Red Bull Ring, and although our maths isn’t great, we think about 90% of them were part of Max’s Orange Army.
“The fans were incredible all weekend, so much orange in the grandstands and it’s just great to see people back and enjoying Formula One at the track,” said the Dutchman after his win. How good will Zandvoort be? We can’t wait!

With everything else that’s happened over the last two weeks, you may have missed that Checo celebrated 200 GP starts on Sunday. This is a great testament to the driver’s skill, determination and all-round like-ability.
In just nine races for the Team, he has scored a podium and a win, but also finished P6 or above in every race apart from one. Vamos Checo! Here’s to the next 200.

We don’t need to tell you that we’re sitting at the top of the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships. But we’re also doing pretty well in the DHL Fastest Pit Stop Awards.
The Team has been the quickest at seven of the nine races so far, putting Red Bull Racing on 255 points – 133 points clear of Mercedes in second.
There’s still plenty of the season to go, but another ‘home race’ is upon us next at Silverstone. And there’s no prizes on offer for who won the last outing at the British Track!*
*Yeah, it was Max. Charge On!
