The Bulls endured a tough start to the series in Monza two weeks ago and will be looking to bounce back with a positive performance in Spa this weekend.
Red Bull athletes Jonny and Jack join Esports drivers Yuri Karsdorp, Nestor Garcia, Alex Siebel and Dennis Jordan in the Bulls’ competition roster.
The mood in the Red Bull camp will have undoubtedly been boosted by Dennis’ race-winning performance in the rFactor2 Endurance Championship’s six-hour race in Spa on Sunday 10 October.
Six hours of racing on the iconic Belgian track this Saturday will provide a welcome test for the team as it builds towards the 24 hour Le Mans race on 15 January 2022.
Australian Jack Doohan, 18, said: “I’m honoured to represent Red Bull on track and in a sim – it’s a really new experience for me. This weekend will be my first proper Esports race and I am very excited and happy to be part of the team at Spa. I’m really looking forward to learning from the team as we head into this race. I’m very keen to get an endurance race under my belt and this six hour race in Spa is going to be a brilliant experience. The goal for me on Saturday will be to learn as much as possible from the team and of course, for us to win.”

Red Bull Racing Esports driver Dennis Jordan said: “Coming into the race off the back of a victory is always a confidence booster. It shows that if we do our job, and we do it well, we will win. Spa has proven to be a track well suited for many drivers in our line-ups, so that builds some confidence too. However, in the end, past results matter only so much. We need to execute on race day like we did last week. We are feeling excited. Spa is a fantastic track; the racing here is always great entertainment.
Being 6 hours instead of 4 last time a different strategy option will also play a huge factor. Add to that the seemingly decent chance of rain on race day too, we are in for a Saturday full of action. It is always super cool to work with any driver from the real racing world. Jack and Jonny are still young and did well in this year’s Formula 3 championship. Our GTE driver Yuri Kasdorp also knows Jonny quite well from racing on other sim racing titles. I believe we are looking very well with them onboard for this round.”

This Le Mans Virtual Series, created by Motorsport Games Inc. uses the rFactor2 platform and consists of five races, running until January 2022. The first four rounds are held strictly online, with the final round – 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual – being a live televised event within the 2022 Autosport International motorsport show in Birmingham, UK on 15-16 January 2022.
Each team competing in the series is made up of five drivers who can race; two of these drivers must be a professional racer (FIA International Licence or similar experience).
For the series there is a $250,000 prize fund with the team winning the final race of the series collecting half of that fund, so the Red Bull Racing Esports drivers will be fully focused on being crowned champions.
