Hosting a group of talented young women at our Technology campus and virtually from around the world. The day provided the opportunity to meet and hear from inspiring engineers across different disciplines and backgrounds, with a view of motivating the group to craft their career paths and dream big in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) sphere.

For the second year, the team got involved with the MK Innovates STEM Festival, hosting a stand joined by a number of volunteers from across the Team.
The event held a unique opportunity for organisations specialised in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), to provide an insight to the local community, schools and colleges into the varied education paths and careers available.
Thursday’s event focused on adults, particularly women, looking for new opportunities in STEM and three of our female engineers: Aimee, Hannah and Reagan took part in a brilliant panel discussion about how they got into F1.
Friday’s event was aimed at students aged 5-18 years attending with teachers. The Team and our partners, Milton Keynes College, both held interactive stands, providing an opportunity to talk about developing diversity and inclusion within motorsport and engineering, by disrupting the talent pipeline from grassroots upwards.

We are excited to announce the creation of an Education Centre at the Red Bull Technology Campus in Milton Keynes. This is a key milestone for the Team’s Drive For Change strategy, which aims to develop diversity and inclusion within motorsport and engineering, by disrupting the talent pipeline from grassroots upwards.
Set to open in 2024 and targeted at nine to 14-year-olds, the Education Centre aims to open the world of motorsport to a wider demographic, attracting students into Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and raise awareness of the opportunities these specialisations provide. Thus, encouraging young people to pursue their passion beyond GCSE level (or equivalent), where, according to research, much of the diversity is lost.
The Team has officially partnered with Milton Keynes College Group to develop a curriculum, where the learning content will be aligned to the UK National Curriculum. This is designed to inspire young people into careers in STEM, which is a national skills priority identified by government. There will also be a Curriculum Advisory Board made up of selected technology industry leaders to support and advise on the skills needed for the future. Understanding potential skills gaps and challenges facing the sector provides a unique perspective and opportunity to inspire students with the art of the possible – jobs beyond motorsport in the wider world of tech, in non-traditional roles that often don’t yet exist.

Daniel Ricciardo took a low-speed drive in one of our F1 cars through the Red Bull Technology Campus, carrying the Baton of Hope as part of a national campaign to raise awareness of suicide prevention.
The specially designed baton is currently on a two-week tour of UK towns and cities, travelling from Glasgow to Downing Street and the Team felt it was important to support the Baton on its maiden journey as part of our wider internal mental health campaign.
Nick Wilson, suicide survivor and disability advocate handed the baton over to Daniel at the Campus gates. With the baton in hand, Daniel drove from the Tilbrook Roundabout at the northern end of the Technology Campus to Powertrains Gate House flagged by the Team’s Mental Health First Aiders.
Team members and public lined the road showing their support. Daniel then handed over the baton to Roy McDonald, Mental Health Coach for Red Bull Technology, for the final part of the Milton Keynes leg which culminated at the Peace Pagoda for a ceremony where the Baton of Hope founder, Mike McCarthy spoke.

For the second year running and as part of our Drive For Change Diversity and Inclusion strategy, Oracle Red Bull Racing’s event celebrating women in engineering proved hugely popular with 45 attendees looking for advice and guidance on the possibility of pursuing a career in Formula One (F1).
The guests travelled from as far away as Costa Rica and Mexico to the Team’s Milton Keynes campus for the day which was part of International Women in Engineering Day. Friday 23 June 2023 was the 10th International Women in Engineering Day, it was first organised in 2014 by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES) to encourage more women to consider a career in the industry.
The event was hosted by the Team’s female engineers and supported by Team Partner Rokt, a global leader in ecommerce technology. It was aimed towards women at all stages in their engineering career, from those who had just completed their school education looking towards university to those with a PhD and wondering about a career change. The aim was to showcase the many engineering roles available and inspire women to consider careers in F1 Engineering roles.

A team from the Red Bull factory spent the day with other leading Milton Keynes based employers to talk to children between the ages of 8 and 16 years old about the exciting world of Formula One. The day included a display of F1 racing equipment and a Q+A session.
- The front and rear wing were displayed with a steering wheel, coupled with a drivers suit, helmet and gloves, signed cards from Max and Checo
- Questions ranged from "How do you make the car go faster?" to "What are the names on the helmet for?"
- Our favourite question: "What do the drivers do if they need a wee in the middle of a race?"
- Over, 1,000 children attended, many from deprived areas of local city
- Feedback from the organiserrs/schools was "it was truly inspiring"

85 Red Bull women joined the conversation to understand the power of networks in the workplace.
The idea behind this session was how could we use the powerful Red Bull platform to create a network outside of work. Personal stories were shared as an introduction and how valuable networks are. The session was focused around:

- Build your network in a safe friendly environment

The Red Bull Engineering Academy is a global talent search to identify a diverse range of graduates who will develop into the engineering and technology leaders of the future. The programme includes a unique and revolutionary centre of excellence and is a prestigious opportunity for graduates. It is difficult to win a place on the scheme and those who do are rewarded with an experience unlike any others in Formula One.
The inaugural Red Bull Engineering Academy will begin in summer 2023, with 24-month graduate placements. Roles within Red Bull Racing and Technology, Red Bull Powertrains and Red Bull Advanced Technologies are available and we are especially keen to meet those with engineering competencies in vehicle design, simulation, mechatronics, test and validation, performance, electrical and manufacturing.

Alone, we don't have all of the answers. Collaboration is key to achieving meaningful change and not just quick fixes.
We work with a number of diversity and inclusion specialists to support our goals and have also set up internal Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to fuel ideas and uncover blind spots.
The ERGs bring many benefits to the Team in addition to raising awareness. The groups have created safe spaces where employees can share ideas on how we can be even more inclusive and enable all employees to bring their full selves to work and be proud that differences can be celebrated. These are open to all employees who wish to get involved and share their own experiences.
