We’re back in Sin City for the second Las Vegas Grand Prix and the Team couldn’t be more excited because after a resurgent drive from the Bulls in Brazil. We’re returning to a track where Max and Checo made it a double podium through some difficult situations, but the gamble paid off.
At the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix, Max overcame penalties to take what was his 18th win of the season and after a collision on the opening lap, Checo battled his way from P18 all the way to third to claim his ninth podium of the year.
This year will be the second time Formula One cars will charge down the iconic Las Vegas Strip for what promises to be another heart-thumping, thrill ride of a race. This street circuit offers a unique set of challenges. The circuit is essentially in the middle of a desert and as it’s a night race it’ll be cold out there, which is great for the engines, but not so good for trying to get temperatures into the tyres.
The track was designed Carsten Tilke, son of legendary circuit designer Hermann Tilke, and it is quick! Its an anticlockwise circuit consisting of 17 turns (10 left-handers and 7 right) with 50 laps for the Grand Prix. The 6.201km lap length is the second-longest of the season and the drivers will scream past plenty of landmarks along the 1.92km straight down the iconic Las Vegas Strip. The tops speeds are expected to rival Monza and there will be plenty of overtaking opportunities which will make for a thrilling race.
The Bulls will return to the Strip for Free Practice One at 18:30 track time (02:30 UTC). Make sure you come back here for exclusive interviews, images and videos from Las Vegas!
