And this year, with their home favourite arriving as a Red Bull Racing Honda driver, with perhaps his best ever chance of a podium finish, and in his best form of the season to boot, the decibel level around the Hermanos Rodríguez might just move the needle to the section marked ‘earth-shattering’.
So ahead of what’s sure to be one of the year’s most exciting races we caught up with Checo for a few home thoughts and to talk about the season so far, his two standout podium finishes in Istanbul and Austin and about standing tall in the face of adversity.
