“My parents had immigrated from Poland to the US, and when Robert Kubica started racing in Formula 1 in 2006, my dad said: ‘we must support him’. I’ve been hooked ever since. As the years progressed and I attended college in Florida, I started learning about NASCAR and IMSA and my love for motorsport really blossomed from there. And don’t worry, we still cheer for Kubica regardless of what series he’s in!”
When asked about joining the Team, Ash exclaimed:
“It’s surreal. My community and I joke that my content creator career is held together by an internet connection and a dream and to be part of Oracle Red Bull Racing is nothing I could have imagined. I appreciate my content reflects my personality and values while showcasing the brand family. From the start, the team was extremely supportive of my ideas, and it feels great to have that backing.”
Speaking candidly on the benefits of streaming for mental health, Ash continued:
“I’m open about my mental health; I have anxiety. At the start of the pandemic, I began watching various gaming streams to help my anxiety and socialise. My therapist recommended that I start a motorsports community on Twitch, which we built the foundations of throughout 2020, and then I started streaming Formula 1 during the 2021 season. “
Recounting how she first took up sim racing as a hobby, with the encouragement of a Brazilian racing driver, she added:
“My chat would always recommend sim racing to me as another avenue to explore, so I started with the F1 2021 game. I didn’t take it too seriously until the Tony Kanaan joined us one stream and gifted me three months of iRacing to try. That was extremely kind of him. Now I participate in special events with my friends, host open lobbies with my community, and really enjoy diving into sim racing streams to learn what I can from the pros.”
Ash joins the Team off the back of attending the Miami Grand Prix just last weekend, thanks to the Team’s partnership with Rokt. Oracle Red Bull Racing Esports will continue to work with Rokt in coming months to promote and foster diversity within the wider Esports and sim racing community, details of which to be shared soon.
